BBC Radio 1Xtra Live was abruptly halted last night after a man was slashed during an altercation backstage.

Rapper Krept is said to be good after BBC Radio 1Xtra Live was abruptly halted due to an unnamed man being slashed during an altercation backstage.

The star-studded concert took place at Arena Birmingham on Saturday (5 October) and boasted a star-studded line-up including Aitch, Wizkid, French Montana and Ms Banks.

It was after AJ Traceys performance that organisers announced the show was unable to continue, before calling for the audience to evacuate the arena.

West Midlands Police confirmed a man had suffered an injury but was treated on-site and did not go to hospital.

In a statement, they said: Its understood that a man sustained a slash wound during the assault. He was treated by on site medical staff and did not require hospital treatment.

Police did not confirm the identity of the man who was injured in the altercation but social media rumours suggested rapper Krept from Krept & Konan was injured.

Konan did not confirm Krepts injury but did tweet: Bros good.

Another friend, Kritikal, said in an Instagram Story: Bro is good, alongside the prayer and heart emojis.

In a tweet, West Midlands Police also called for those with information about the incident to get in contact.

BBC 1Xtra also addressed the incident in a series of tweets, stating: Following an isolated serious incident, we have had to stop 1Xtra Live in Birmingham.

We are co-operating fully with the police to establish what has happened.
