Legendary rock band KISS have probably played every major gig venue in the world at this point in their 45-year career.

But the rock gods are now taking their sound to knew heights, or rather, depths – by performing a gig for great white sharks.

Let us explain.

Gene Simmons and cos upcoming concert will take place on a glass bottom boat near Port Lincoln, South Australia and will raise money for a welfare charity.

The gig has come about after a partnership with Airbnb to promote the travel brands Animal Experiences programmes.

Australia has some of the most shark-infested waters on Earth, with Port Lincoln a popular spot for cage diving with great whites.

Airbnb claim sharks respond to the low-frequency sounds of rock and roll.
