Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) has had plenty on her plate in EastEnders, what with seemingly perfect husband Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith) assaulting her behind closed doors, but could the truth be set to out in the coming episodes as Gray attempts to get his sickening behaviour under control?
When Chantelle and Gray arrived on Albert Square several months ago, they seemed like the perfect couple — so much so that they wouldve even given Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda (Kellie Bright) a run for their money! However, it soon came to light that all was not as it seemed in the Atkins household, as the solicitor has been secretly abusing his wife.
In addition to physically assaulting Chantelle, Gray has also exhibited signs of controlling behaviour, and hes done his best to control every aspect of his wifes life — including how much money shes allowed to spend.

However — in the coming episodes — hes seemingly determined to turn over a new leaf, and thus he reveals to Chantelle that hes planning on seeing a therapist.
However, before Chantelle has time to think about her husbands revelation, she cuts her hand — and Gray insists that they go to A&E to be on the safe side.
Later, whilst Chantelle is being seen to at the hospital, a nurse spots her bruises.
