Emmerdale spoilers: Robert Sugden enlists Cain Dingle in shady business after guilty plea

What does Robert have planned now? (Picture: ITV)

Potentially facing life in prison, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has enlisted the help of Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in a bid to save himself on Emmerdale.

In the second of tonights two-parter, Aaron (Danny Miller) and Liv (Isobel Steele) are now coming to terms with the idea that they could be losing Robert forever.

As Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) hopelessly blames herself for the trouble her brother was in, Robert is at least granted bail – but on his return home its clear that Aaron is fuming at him changing his plea behind his back.

It soon becomes apparent that with Robert out of the way, the family will take a knock financially, so in the final seconds of the episode, he comes up with a plan.

Sneaking away from the group, Robert makes a phone call – striking up a shady deal with Cain that clearly has the word disaster written all over it.

Seeing that Robert is on his way out of the Dales, with Ryan Hawley announcing his intent to leave, the possibilities over what to happen next are endless.

Is he planning on doing a runner so he never makes it to prison? And even worse, what is Cain going to tell him to do in order to bag the money he needs?

Emmerdale continues weeknights from 7pm on ITV.
