Weve finally had our first look at Bad Boys For Life – the latest entry into the Bad Boys franchise – and its certainly been worth the wait.
As the film series makes its long-awaited return the first footage suggests were in for yet more fast-paced action as Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their mis-matched cop duo for the big screen.
But just when does the film open, whats it about – and who else is joining the main pair in the cast?

When is Bad Boys For Life released?
Bad Boys For Life is currently set to be released in the UK on 17 January 2020.
Its the third – and final – movie in the Bad Boys series, and will be released 25 years after the original Bad Boys made its debut in cinemas in 1995.

The second movie in the franchise, Bad Boys 2, was released in 2003.
Whats the plot of Bad Boys For Life?
The story of the new film sees Lawrences character Marcus Burnett now a police inspector and Smiths character Mike Lowrey in the midst of a mid-life crisis.
The pair of them are set to retire but agree to take on one last job before going their separate ways – and its a big one as they head to Atlanta to try and crack a drugs ring.
The synopsis reads thus: Bad Boys For Life follows Miami PD and its elite AMMO teams attempt to take down Armando Armas (Jacob Scipio), head of a drug cartel.
Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike.
Who is in the cast of Bad Boys For Life?
As well as Lawrence and Smith the cast also includes High School Musical alumnus Vanessa Hudgens, and Vikings Alexander Ludwig as one of the pairs new police pals – who as we see from the trailer isnt too hot on singing their theme song.

Meanwhile Jacob Scipio – who plays Armando Armas – might well bring back a few childhood memories as he is best known as the Kerwhizzitor on CBeebies Kerwhizz.
