Spider-Man and Avengers star Tom Holland doesnt like living in the spotlight

Tom Holland has spoken about coming to terms with the intensifying media coverage of his private life, saying that he doesnt like living in the spotlight.

The Spider-Man and Avengers star made the admission in a new interview as he recalled being photographed with a female companion at this years BST concert series in Londons Hyde Park.

Subsequent coverage of the photograph led to the womans name and Instagram account being reported – a move that Holland believes was an invasion of her privacy.

Its just, Im a very private person. If you do a Google search, Im not a tabloid person. I dont like living in the spotlight, he told GQ.

Im quite good at only being in the spotlight when I need to be… it just was a bit of a shock to the system.

Holland said that the experience left him not wanting to put myself in that situation again.

For me, its a reflection of a life that I dont live, the 23-year-old continued. And I like my private life, I like my friends, I like going out.

I was just, “Whoa, what is going on here?” And it was just a little stressful.

You know, it was a wake-up of, like: “This is what your life is now. So just be wary.”

Holland did also point to a network of famous pals that he could call on for support in dealing with such situations, including his Spider-Man co-star Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The young actor said that he could confide in them as they had more experience of those kind of situations.
