Kyle Richards beyond honoured to be reprising role for Halloween sequel

Kyle Richards will be reprising her role as Lindsey Wallace for the upcoming sequel of Halloween.

The actress, who portrayed the character as a child star in the original 1978 film, will be returning for the much-awaited sequel to the 2018 reboot, titled Halloween Kills.

Halloweenmovies.com confirmed the exciting news on 30 August, with Halloween series producer Malek Akkad saying: We couldnt be happier, and are so excited that Kyle is coming home to her Halloween roots.

Kyle also made an announcement on Instagram, saying she was beyond honoured to be returning.

Its true. I am beyond honoured and thrilled to be a part of #halloweenkills and reprising my role as Lindsey Wallace, she said.

As she later thanked the cast and crew, she added: I have always been proud to have been a part of Halloween. Bringing Lindsey back is very exciting!

In the original film, Lindsey was one of the children that was being babysat by Laura Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) on Halloween night, when iconic villain Michael Myers (Nick Castle) embarks on a killing spree.

Universal Pictures previously announced back in July that they are planning two back-to-back sequels, following on from the success of the 2018 horror flick.

The first, titled Halloween Kills, is scheduled for release in October 2020, while the third, Halloween Ends, is set to be out in October 2021.

David Morgan Green, who directed the 2018 film, will be returning for both instalments, with Jamie Lee Curtis also set to return.
