Pogba racially abused after penalty miss

Cape Town – English Premiership side Manchester United on Tuesday strongly condemned racist abused hurled at French midfielder Paul Pogba after his penalty miss in a 1-1 draw against Wolves.

Pogba was denied from the penalty spot by goalkeeper Rui Patricio with just over 20 minutes remaining after the home side had pulled level through a Ruben Neves strike.

The French World Cup winner was subjected to racial abuse on social media after the game with United releasing a statement strongly condemning the racial abuse.

"Everyone at Manchester United is disgusted by the racial abuse aimed at Paul Pogba last night and we utterly condemn it," the club said.

"Manchester United has zero tolerance of any form of racism or discrimination and a long-standing commitment to campaigning against it through our #AllRedAllEqual initiative.
