Stranger Things David Harbour details painstaking 3-hour Hellboy transformation

Stranger Things David Harbour has revealed the painstaking three-hour transformation it took for him to take on the role of Hellboy.
The actor explained what was involved in the costume, including the magnetic horns that flagposted the character.
Speaking ahead of the DVD release of the film, based on the iconic comic character, David said it initially was a three-hour process they got down to two-and-a-half.
Oh just the things he could have done with that spare half hour, eh?

[It was] An entire process that began with the ears, there were these ears you barely see in the movie, these pointed ears, like gargoyle ears, he said alongside co-star Sophie Okonedo, who plays Lady Hatton.
Then they put on a skull cap that had two magnets here [pointing to his forehead].
His special effects artist was only getting started, though, as he went on.
Then they put on the entire face, which took a long time to glue down [my own] face, David continued.
Then the neck was applied then the body was applied and then the teeth were applied, then the hair was applied, then the horns were applied at the end and the last things were these yellow contacts which were bigger than my eyes and difficult to wear and painful. It was the hardest part.
Thinking about what else, he realised the true hardest part – having to live with a tail.
Really the tail was actually the worst bit as you forget how easy it is… its easy to sit in a chair when you dont have a tail and when you have a tail chairs become untenable, he laughed.
Id had to sit on an apple box, squad down.

Tail problems, I have so much sympathy for dogs now, you never see them sitting in chairs.
