Ewan McGregor is reportedly in talks to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a Disney+ series.

The 48-year-old Scottish actor played the younger version of the Jedi master in the three prequel films: The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005).

And now Ewan is set to take us all back to a galaxy far, far away, according to Deadline.

Details of the rumoured project are being kept completely under wraps and a title is yet to be announced – but its been a long time coming for Star Wars fans.

Two separate sources also told Cinelinx that McGregor has signed a contract to return to the franchise.

The world has been itching for an Obi-Wan comeback ever since Disney bought the rights to Lucasfilm in 2013.

There were reports of a possible stand-alone Kenobi feature, but those plans were apparently dashed due to the box office flop that was Solo: A Star Wars Story.
