Hunt: I’ve had more interviews at SAFA than anybody

Cape Town – Wits coach Gavin Hunt has virtually all but ruled out the possibility of being handed the Bafana Bafana job as he has been overlooked before.

The job is vacant since Stuart Baxter stepped down after Bafana's exit from the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt in the quarter-final stages.

Hunt, who is one of South Africa's leading coaches having won the Premiership three times with SuperSport United and once with Bidvest Wits, does not express much confidence he will succeed Baxter.

The South African Football Association are searching for a new full-time candidate with Molefi Ntseki taking over on an interim basis.

Hunt told reporters: "It doesn't matter, I don't pay attention to that.

"I don't think it's the right forum to discuss that. I've supported them from day one in everything they do, from all the coaches they had.
