Simon Cowell wants to win an Oscar with music biopic after Bohemian Rhapsody success

Its an understatement to say that Simon Cowell is an ambitious man but it may still com as a surprise that the TV boss is now eyeing up Oscar glory.

The X Factor boss has conquered everything from the music charts to the land of TV and now sources say winning an Academy Award is next on his bucket list.

Erm, join the queue Si-Co.

According to the Daily Mail, Simon has been inspired by the recent success of music biopics like Rocketman, which focused on the life of Elton John, and most notably Bohemian Rhapsody, which earned Rami Malek the best actor Oscar in February.

An insider told the publication of Simons Oscar dreams: Simon has talked openly about wanting to win an Oscar.

Hes looking at music-related film projects because they are all the rage now after the success of Bohemian Rhapsody and the Elton John biopic.

Can anyone else totally imagine Si-Co practicing his Oscars speech in the shower? We dont do that at all.

First though, Simon, 59, may be a little busy with his ever-growing TV empire.

It was recently reported that X Factor and Britains Got Talent will remain on TV until at least 2022 thanks to Simon allegedly signing a new three-year deal with ITV.

An insider told The Mirror: There have been meetings recently between Simons producers and ITV executives to thrash out some of the details, but Simon is already planning on how to build on the shows.

The source continued: Whilst there may be some details in the paperwork still to be ironed out, from a fans point of view it is a three-year deal which means these much loved shows will remain on ITV for a long time to come.

At the moment, Simons got his hands full with Britains Got Talent: The Champions while Celebrity X Factor is expected to arrive on ITV later this year.
