Police looking for bong found bags, ice in driver’s car

A 21-year-old man caught driving under the influence of drugs for the second time in less than a year has been fined. Nathan Lindsay Shone was pulled over by police for a random drug test in Nyngan on the afternoon of November 23. A passenger told police there was a bong under a seat and police searched the car. Tests revealed .93 grams of a substance found inside one of the bags was the drug ice. Court documents revealed he was convicted of the same offence in May 2018. Magistrate Gary Wilson disqualified Shone from driving for six months and issued a $500 fine.
