Coronation Street fans were left crushed by the news that Lucy Fallon is leaving her role as Bethany Platt next year – and while there is no doubt a major storyline planned for the character, the family unit on screen wont be the same without her. Jack P Shepherd, who plays David in the soap, certainly agrees and he said he will miss her although added that he knew she would find success.
He added: Yeah, shes off. I mean, she might be back. I hope shell be back.
Speaking about her exit recently, Lucy shared: Its hard to put into words how much this show means to me. Ive made lifelong friends with some of the most talented and hardworking people in the industry, Ive had some terrific and immensely important storylines and Ive laughed with the best people everyday. Im so thankful to Iain and everyone at Coronation Street, I owe everything to them and I will miss them greatly.
