Robbie Williams is killing it at the moment, after being a judge on the X Factor and revealling a new album is on its way.

However, it seems life wasnt always as cushy for the 45-year-old, as he recently opened up on his three year agoraphobia battle.

When chatting to The Sun, the Angels hitmaker confessed his career had got so stratospheric he had to spend time getting his equilibrium back.

It was my body and mind telling me I shouldnt go anywhere, that I couldnt do anything, he confessed to the publication: It was telling me to just wait — so I literally just sat and waited.

He went on to talk about the three years between 2006 to 2009, and how he couldnt leave his sofa at the time.

The rocker continued: Those years were just spent wearing a cashmere kaftan, eating Kettle Chips, growing a beard and staying in.

However, after hearing The Killers 2008 hit Human, especially the line sometimes I get scared, when I see an open door, Robbie decided it was time to get back on his feet.

I had to re-learn how to entertain, he said before adding: It wasnt an easy process — it was like having a car crash and then learning how to walk again.

The father-of-three went on to claim that, if it wasnt for Take That, and rejoining them, I dont know if Id have come back at all.

Despite hitting a bump in the road, Robbie got back up and has only gone from strength to strength from there.

Hes even made pals with Simon Cowell, seeing himself and his wife Ayda Field take to the X Factor as judges last year.

However, even though the show was a success, the star decided to part ways with the ITV competition to focus on his solo career.

Taking about how he will miss Simon, the Let Me Entertain You singer explained to Metro.co.uk: He did [try to get me to stay] and we wanted to, we just couldnt make it work.

Its a pause in the relationship. I miss him, I really like him.
