Cape Town – Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says the club have handed a trial to former Cape Town City striker Tokelo Rantie.
Rantie was with the Citizens last season but was released without playing a game after concerns arose regarding his personal life and level of conditioning.
The 28-year-old has had a rocky career since leaving Bournemouth in 2016 for Turkey's Genclerbirligi.
Mosimane told reporters that the Brazilians were assessing the forward though it was too soon to say if a contract offer would be on the table.
He told KickOff: "It's still early to say if we would sign him, we have given him a chance to train.
"Everybody deserves a chance and we believe we must give him a chance to play and train and see how it goes.
