Gourmet Farmer to talk sustainable, ethical meat production

To celebrate the upcoming launch of Margaret River Organic Farmer's high-welfare meat range, the local business is welcoming Gourmet Farmer Matthew Evans to the South West. At a special event at Stay Margaret River, Evans will discuss his new book 'On Eating Meat' in conversation with Sally Gray ND, of Real Healthy Kids; sharing truths about meat production and the ethics of eating it. Evans trained as a chef and worked as a high-profile restaurant critic, then threw it all away to become a smallholder in Tasmania where he lives and works on the free-range Fat Pig Farm. He is also the presenter of the Gourmet Farmer series, on SBS, which is in its sixth season, including a spin off series, Gourmet Farmer Afloat. Meet Matthew Evans at Stay Margaret River (78 Wallcliffe Road) on Saturday July 13 from 6.30pm. Tickets are available online until 3pm July 13, and at the Margaret River Bookshop. There will be limited tickets available on the door (cash sales only). For more visit facebook.com/margaret.river.bookshop/
