Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner couldnt be more thrilled to star alongside Beyonce and Donald Glover in Disneys The Lion King – and theyre even taking credit for their big break. Jokingly, of course because, well, they are already superstars.

Donald, 35, takes the lead in Disneys live-action remake as boy cub Simba, while Beyonce, 38, voices his love interest Nala.

Landing the prestigious roles is no doubt a bucket list achievement for Bey and the Don, and their co-stars Seth and Billy are ever so humbly taking the glory.

In an interview with Variety, Billy joked: Its about time. This is the culmination for them of so many years of hard work trying to get to our level.

Its really gratifying that weve been able to give them this opportunity.

Echoing his fellow funnyman, Seth quipped: Yeah, I feel good for them. They deserve this break. I cant imagine how thrilling it must be for them.

Billy plays Timon in the Lion King remake while Seth takes on the role of his sidekick Pumbaa.

This week, the gang have been pictured together for the first time in the Lion King cast photo, which put Beyonce and Donald front and center.

Of course, Beyonce completely stole the show with a seriously fierce pose and a striking custom-made dress courtesy of designer Mark Fast.

While the majority of us are looking forward to reliving our childhood and forming a Circle of Life, others are already picking holes in The Lion King story.

Science journalist Erin Biba says the film isnt exactly accurate to what happens in real life prides – we are shocked.

More: Beyonce Knowles

In a Twitter thread, she explained: Anyway, if The Lion King were real, Nala would be the star, Sarabi would be holding her up saying everything the light touches is our kingdom, Simba would have left and never come back, and when Nala got old enough Sarabi would have carved out a territory for her to rule.

The Lion King is out in cinemas on 19 July.
