Students and staff at Cowaramup Primary School jumped into the NAIDOC Week celebrations early ahead of school holidays, with a day of activities last week. The day was packed with informative and fun workshops including boomerang art, pin art, native food tastings, Dreamtime stories and traditional indigenous games. A school spokesperson said the NAIDOC Day was a way to further the students' existing knowledge of Wadandi Boodja. "The cultural experiences are a great asset to all staff and students. They enhance relationships, teaching and experience through environmental resources. All multicultural experiences are an asset and emphasise our school rules of resilience, respect and being your best."
