FROM learning acrobatics to a ukulele workshop, there's a host of boredom-busting activities being held across the Central West and Orana these July school holidays. There's events being held in your own town, but also why not jump in the car and head down the road to find even more things to do. Listed alphabetically by location are ideas for kids of all ages that cater to all budgets. This annual Bathurst Winter Festival has fast become the must-do for many people in the Central West. There's ice skating ($8 for kids aged 3-14), the ferris wheel ($5) and the double-decker carousel ($5). See Dr Seuss' The Cat in the Hat on July 12. At Gulgong Library, make a galactic playdough and popsicle rocket on July 12 or join in the shooting star and moon playdough session on July 19. At Kandos Library, make a moonscape design on canvas (ages 3-5) Head to Narromine Library to travel down the rabbit hole in this crafty session celebrating Alice in Wonderland's fantastical adventures on July 10. Unleash your inner wizard in this spellbinding activity full of crafts, games and magical fun on July 17. Both sessions run from 2.30pm-4pm. Head to Nyngan Library to create a Lego masterpiece on July 11, from 10.30am until noon. Or come along for a morning of craft from 10.30am until noon on July 19.
