Thousands of racegoers have once again flocked to Nyngan for the annual Duck Creek Picnic Races. Men and women dressed for the occasion donning their winter best, while others charged against the fence hoping their horse would cross the finish line first. The 2019 WIN Duck Creek Picnic Cup (1250 metre) was won by Gadfly ridden by Angela Taylor. The five-year-old gelding is trained by Condobolin's Mark Ward, and took out the major prize on Saturday in Nyngan, followed by Rodney Robb trained Blue Channel and Austin. This year Kate Griffiths, owner of Lazy Sunday Lifestyle based in Dubbo was the guest judge for the fashions on the field. Winning the Trendiest teen was Kiri Rivera while Doug Menzies took out the prize for Best Dressed Gent. For the most Fashionable Fillies Shanae Gosper from Dubbo was named runner up, and Emma Bacchetto from Canberra was announced the winner. Nicole Donnelly from Nyngan was named the tracksides Most Elegant Lady. Following the races crowds gathered to be entertained by the Legless Pedestrians, Jon Stevens and Brad Cox. READ ALSO:
