Midsommar has finally dropped and fans are so scared they can barely sleep.

Yes, after watching the new horror movie, a number of people have taken to social media where they expressed just how terrified they were of the film.

And we cant blame them, as even Will Poulter, who stars as Mark in the hit, confessed hes also disturbed by the story line.

When chatting to the Independent, the 26-year-old joked about his time at Glastonbury and how seeing people with flowers completely freaked him out.

Ive got to say that being out in the sun at Glastonbury and seeing the odd person with flowers in their hair did trip me out a bit, he told the publication.

The movie focuses on the characters Dani and Christian, who go to a remote Swedish town to visit friends and attend a festival that occurs once every 90 years.

At the hands of a pagan cult disguised as a sleepy community, theyre forced to take part in the festivals dark and violent agenda.

What you come to terms with pretty quickly is that there arent ghouls or goblins in Midsommar, Will explained.

Everything that is horrifying comes from a very organic place and all the terrible things that happen are enacted by humans on humans.

Thinking about the arc, he added: Thats really quite disturbing to me.

The lead character of Dani is played by Florence Pugh who has previously starred in the TV mini-series The Little Drummer Girl

Her onscreen boyfriend Christian is played by Jack Reynor and they are joined by their friend Mark, played by Will.

Director Ari Aster, who also worked on Hereditary, was at the helm of the movie and it sounds like hes already plotting away at another film.
