A mum of 15 boiled four newborn puppies alive in a large sealed pot as her children watched, court documents say.
Martha Crouch of Aztec, New Mexico, forced her children to watch as the baby dogs were tortured to death, according to newly-released court papers. Crouch was due to appear in court Wednesday, although her hearing was postponed.
Her 17 year-old daughter noted another extreme act of cruelty carried out by the mother which involved a kitten. She claimed her mother gave the young animal medication which killed it, according to the same papers.

Crouch is charged with child abuse of her 15 children, extreme animal cruelty and obstruction of an investigation on child abuse or neglect, according to a criminal complaint and arrest affidavit.

Police conducted a search warrant on June 13 and discovered most of the familys belongings had been removed.
They found the put which was allegedly used to boil the puppies along with the ladle, Fox 5 reports. No sign of the dogs corpses were found.
The criminal complaint also states that police dug up another dog which the teen said her mother had shot on a separate occasion to punish her children, before burying it in the backyard.
It is reported the police took photos and reburied the animal.
The teen also provided other horrifying details on the alleged torture of her siblings.
