Miley Cyrus makes feminist statement in daring video for Mothers Daughter

Miley Cyrus has released the music video for her latest single, Mothers Daughter, making quite the bold statement with it.

The 26-year-old singer wears a striking red latex catsuit in the video, which is interspersed with several important female-empowerment messages.

Among them include every woman is a riot, virginity is a social construct, and feminist AF.

The song itself is also a feminism-driven anthem, with lyrics such as oh my God, she got the power, oh look at her, she got the power, and dont f*** with my freedom, I came up to get me some.

Several female guest stars appear throughout the video, including transgender model Aaron Phillip and drag queen Ashley Amazon.

There was even an appearance from the songs namesake – Mileys mother, Tish Cyrus.

The singer has made it clear that she wants to get an important message across.

Taking to Instagram, the singer posted a short clip of her from the set of the music video, sticking her tongue out.
