Harry Styles favourite to portray Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmanns biopic and we are all shook up
Harry Styles has got big blue suede shoes to fill with reports that hes hotly-tipped to play Elvis Presley in an upcoming biopic.
Oscar-winning director Baz Luhrmann is set to helm the big-budget project and has narrowed his lead actor selection down to five star players.
According to The Hollywood Report, former One Direction singer Harry took part in a screen test for Luhrmanns project last week and is believed to be a serious contender to take on the coveted role.
However, hes got real competition from Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Austin Butler, who also screen tested and are still in the running.
Producers havent got much longer to make a decision either as the lead role is reportedly due to be filled in the coming weeks.
Whichever lucky actor bags the prestigious role will be in good company, as screen icon Tom Hanks is already signed up to portray Col. Tom Parker, Elvis longtime manager who had great control over the rock n roll singers life.

Elvis died in 1977 at the age of 42 following a heart attack and the biopic is expected to focus on his rise to superstardom and his close relationship with his manager Parker.
If Harry, 25, does land the role, it will only be the second major entry on his acting CV following his critically-acclaimed turn in Christopher Nolans war epic Dunkirk back in 2016.
In January, it was reported that Harry was keen to devote much of his attention to acting rather than music after One Directions split and the successful launch of his solo career, which saw his debut album shoot to number one.
A source told The Sun at the time: Since stepping away from 1D Harry has really enjoyed life outside that pop bubble.
Acting is something he really enjoys and hes been working behind the camera on a number of different projects.
