White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham has been left with bruises following an all out brawl with North Korean security forces.

Grisham was seen at the G20 in Japan on Friday, before accompanying Trump to the DMZ for his historic walk over the border into North Korea.

Trump became the first sitting US President in history to step foot inside the North, before heading into another meeting with Kim Jong Un in a building known as the Freedom House on the South side of the border.

But as she tried to push into her position in the US press pool, a brief scuffle broke out between US reporters and North Korean guards who were trying to block them.

After a few moments of pushing and shoving, the Secret Service were reportedly forced to intervene.

The encounter left her with bruises, according to CNNs White House correspondent Jim Acosta.

He added that a source said it was an all out brawl.

But Grisham seemed to put the fracas behind her and later tweeted: Unbelievable to watch our @potus @realdonaldtrump work so hard on behalf of this country over the past few days (and always!) History was made today – honored to witness it.

Grisham doesnt officially start the job until Monday but has been at the Presidents side since her predecessor Sarah Huckabee-Sanders left the post on Friday.
