Dua Lipa surprises Blackpink fans with performance at Newark concert

The latest episode of the BlackPink Diaries explains exactly how Dua Lipa ended up performing at the K-pop bands recent Newark concert.

New Rules singer Dua made a guest appearance at the girl bands concert on 1 May as part of their In Your Area world tour to perform the song they all collaborated on together, Kiss and Make Up.

Consisting of Lisa, Rose, Jennie Kim, and Jisoo, the bands video begins behind the scenes before the concert, with the comment: A woman appears at BLACKPINKs concert. She goes on stage.

As the comments continue with who has this amazing voice?, a blurred clip of Dua appears.

The video diary then flashes to a mash up of shots of the solo star performing live with her song Electricity playing in the background.

Dua is described in the girl bands video as a global star who enraptures the world.

It then flashes to an interview with the singer, where she is asked how the appearance at BlackPinks concert came about.

A friend of mine told me BlackPink will perform in Newark and that we should go, and I was like, wait, maybe I should get up and do Kiss And Make Up with them, the singer explained.

Um, so I sent them a message. Thats kind of how it happened.

Following the interview, BlackPink show viewers exactly what happened when Dua Lipa performed at their concert.

Wearing a baby pink dress and bright yellow boots, she is pictured talking during her rehearsal on stage before she final meets the group who she will perform with.

The band members appear from below the stage to greet Dua amid shouts of oh my god. Hi!.

Dua said of her collaborators: Oh my god. You guys are stunning.

The band members run to give the British singer a hug, with a comment popping up that read: The global artists come together.

Before going on stage for the real performance, the girl band give Dua some BlackPink goods to keep before the performance of the artists singing and dancing Kiss and Make Up is filmed for real.
