Funstar looks like another young star in the making

There is a fair bit of class behind unbeaten two-year-old Funstar and she could be providing the blueprint for breeder John Sheather.

“The best is ahead of her. Shes capable of going to another level when she gets out over ground.”

Funstar did what good horses do in overcoming being held up for much of the straight. When the run came she had the acceleration to put her rivals away.

“When the draw came out, I thought barrier one could be the only sticking point and it was, but she proved she was good enough to overcome it,” Ford said.
