Avengers: Endgames Jeremy Renner has revealed he had no idea what he was filming during the opening scenes of the movie.

Beginning the film with a completely heartbreaking moment, viewers are shown Clint Bartons family turning to dust after the events of Infinity War, as hes left behind.

However, due to Marvel being renowned for its secret-keeping, the Hawkeye actor had no idea what he was actually filming, and what had happened to Clints family.

When we did shoot that, we were shooting both movies back and forth, he explained at Celebrity Fan Fest. I remember shooting with my family, teaching my daughter how to shoot a bow and arrow, and I turn around and theyre just gone.

But I didnt know anything, I really didnt. I hadnt seen a whole lot of the movie. I didnt know what was happening in Infinity War, everyone was going to be dust. I didnt know that. So when I did the scene, I just thought, “Where did they go?”

The 48-year-old added: Id act as if they just disappeared, they just went away. They didnt tell me. So I was just running around like, “Wheres my family? What the heck happened?” Youre watching it and you see dust flakes, and Im like, “Oh boy.”
