Have you recovered from Avengers: Endgame yet?

Whether or not, there is many a theory that has popped up following the April release that we need to digest – for each and every one may offer up a new idea as to what we witnessed in the Russo brothers film.

Its been several weeks since it hit cinemas, so we can only assume if youve made it this far in the article you know what happens? If not, you best look away now.

As the Avengers attempted to defeat Thanos once and for all, after he dusted half the population in the precursor to Endgame, Infinity War, we lost some mates along the way.

The one that hurts the most still is Tony Stark, after he wielded his gauntlet with the Infinity Stones and dusted Thanos, the power of which killed him.

That was after The Hulk wore the bejewelled glove and made the snap that brought everyone back at Avengers HQ.

Endgame theory suggests it sets up a secret invasion movie

We knew the whole time the gauntlet was going to eff things up for whoever wore it, the Avengers knew themselves, but why?

Why would Thanos use his gauntlet just fine but the Stark version ended its user? Even though said user was flippin Iron Man? One fan on Reddit has come up with a keen idea, which involves where the metal making up the item came from.

In Infinity War, Thanos has the gauntlet made in Nidavellir. When he does the Snap, the Gauntlet was damaged for some reason, the theory began.

He didnt struggle a lot as compared to wielding the Stark Gauntlet with all Infinity Stones in Endgame. But the Stark Gauntlet doesnt get damaged even though Hulk snapped using it.

The user, u/rgtxd26, believes Thanos space-made metals are stronger in order to take some of the hit of the Snap and were picking up what theyre putting down.

I think the Nidavellir-made Gauntlet which is a strong metal absorbed some of the powers of the Stones resulting in the damage of the Gauntlet when the Snap occurred, they continued. But the Stark gauntlet which is made of Earth metals cannot hold the power of Stones so the power […] directly affects the user and Hulk damaged his arm.

In this way, making a vibranium gauntlet would be more efficient and the damage done to the user would have been less.
