Geri Horner got emotional overnight as she shared one final thank you message for all who had celebrated the Spice Girls return to form.

The singer took to her Instagram following the final Wembley show on London in Saturday night, teary-eyed but full of love for her bandmates Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton.

So weve done, its done, 13 stadiums, almost 700,000 people, with three amazing women Ive shared that stage with and I want to say thank you to Melanie, Melanie and Emma and everybody that showed up for us, she said.

Sleep well, she wrote, before tallying up the important details again: 700,000 people , 13 stadiums, 4 Spices.

Earlier in the night, while on stage at a packed out stadium, Geri apologised to fans and her bandmates for leaving the group back in 1998.

And, honestly, it had the lot of us in tears.

It suddenly occurred to me this afternoon, I need to say something I should have said a long time ago: Im sorry, she said, as her bandmates rallied around her with a big hug.

Im sorry I left. I was just being a brat. It is so good to be back with the girls that I love.

There was a lot of love in the room, as the women were joined by their superstar fans. After Emma Stone met her idol Baby Spice earlier in the week, last night Spice Girls superfan Adele had her turn.
