An expert told a woman her $65,000 stamp was worthless – then ran away with it, she claims.

Jennifer Hall said her grandmother handed down the George Washington two-cent stamp which was part of a family heirloom collection.

She learned that the stamp was over 80-years-old and similar stamps sold for $65,000.

Hall told Fox 31: I got really excited.

She took the stamp collection to the Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library in Denver, Colorado, a respected stamp library where she hoped to get it appraised.
