Netflixs I Am Mother robot makes eerie appearance at films premiere alongside Hilary Swank and cast

While critics have been singing the praises of Netflixs I am Mother, it looks like the robot from the sci-fi thriller doesnt want to miss out on the premiere fun either, appearing alongside Hillary Swank and the cast.

Leading lady was star of the red carpet with with her 21-year-old co-star Clara Rugaard.

But while the stars were all smiles on the red carpet, the biggest star of them all – the robot – was never quite far behind.

Critics have already been raving about the new Netflix series which tells the story of a teenage girl that has been raised by her robotic mother (voiced by Rose Byrne) whose main goal is to re-populate the earth after a massive global extinction.

The drama then ensues when a blood-drenched stranger arrives with alarming news, testing the mother and daughters relationship and bond forever.

Actor Luke Hawker also plays the body of mother which is mainly filmed with someone wearing a fancy bit of costume.

While I Am Mother plays on the idea of humans relationship with technology, director Grant Sputore insists that its more than just another robot movie.

Speaking to Tech Crunch, he said: All the films that you think are about robots are largely about androids.
