EmergencyWA has issued a bushfire advice for people near the Baudin plantation in the Shire of Augusta Margaret River. There is a lot of smoke in the area due to the bushfire burning out of control. Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes. The fire started near the intersection of Margaret Road and Lawson Road in Baudin. The cause of the fire is an escape from pine harvest debris burns. It is burning in a southerly direction towards Mowen Road, with 40 hectares burnt so far.
