Man, 47, gave girl, 13, cocaine, raped her, then dumped her dead body at hospital

A 47-year-old man gave a girl, 13, then raped her and dumped her dead body at a hospital, prosecutors say.
Carlos Rivera appeared in court in Lawrence, Massachusetts on Tuesday where he was charged with cocaine distribution, sexual assault, and the aggravated rape of Chloe Ricard.
Ricards lifeless body was left at Lawrence General Hospital on May 20 and she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, authorities said.
Rivera was arrested five days later as neighbors and family members demanded justice for the teen.
Ricards stepfather, Brian Dolan, told WCVB: To throw her off, (at) the door of the hospital like a bag of trash. Im still in awe of that.
Her mother, Debrah Goldsmith-Dolan, had a message for the man accused in her daughters death and told WBZ: You (Rivera) ruined my life. If (Chloe) was sick, all you had to do was call an ambulance. Do something to save her.

Preliminary DNA evidence recovered during Ricards autopsy linked Rivera to the case, although authorities still have not announced a cause of death.

Prosecutors filed a motion to hold Rivera in custody as his case was tried, although state law does not allow them to file a motion of dangerousness for the charge of aggravated rape of a child.
Instead they based their motion on the drug distribution charges and and a charge of assaulting a 16-year-old girl, who was reportedly with Rivera when he dumped Ricards body at the hospital.
Prosecutors condemned the state statutes that did not allow them to hold Rivera on the child rape charge.
