Time for youngsters to hook into local hockey

Margaret River Hockey Club started the Hookin2Hockey season last week. Girls and Boys enjoyed the play-based skills sessions, with older players Tom and Helena mentoring and assisting. Club Facilitator Debbie 'Daisy' Storey said the sessions offered great value. "It's a great opportunity for juniors to come and try the game. "The skills they learn help increase hand eye coordination, confidence and team building skills. "Hookin2Hockey gives young boys and girls the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey." The program runs through term 2 and costs $85 per player. All sessions are at the Western playing fields, near the pavilion on Mondays 4-5pm. For registrations visit www.hookin2hockey.com.au.
