Brian May is all about gathering the stars for a good cause, as the Queen musician challenged the young artists of today to create another Live Aid.

Queens monumental performance at the 1985 event, organised by Bob Geldof, still gives us goosebumps and was a pivotal part of film Bohemian Rhapsody.

Now the guitarist has voiced his hope for climate change to take a front seat with a massive concert designed to raise money for the world.

Without even mentioning his own massive concert more than 30 years ago, he asked for a repeat of 2007s Live Earth gigs, which featured more than 150 musical acts in 11 locations, including Madonna, Foo Fighters, Metallica, The Black Eyed Peas and Shakira.

The original Wembley gig in the 80s sported the likes of Sting, U2, David Bowie, The Who, Paul McCartney and Elton John

Just a pretty little line-up there – and he wants to see it happen again.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Brian said: It probably would take the younger generation to take that bull by the horns.

Wed help in any way we can but I think thats what it would require.

Who would step up these days?

If we had to put our money on some change makers that would make a real impact were throwing out the names like Beyoncé, Kanye West, get Idris Elba on the decks – the works.

But its not such an easy feat, you know?

Brian continued: People have seen so many concerts since Live Aid purporting to be solving the problems of the world so its not quite as easy as it seems.

More: Queen (band)

Its said the whole shebang has raised more than £150million over the years, but Brian worries the issue of Climate Change would need more than that.

Still, Queen would be available for the gig, according to the man.
