The Keith Flint Glastonbury tribute planned by former Prodigy member Gizz Butt has been cancelled, with the guitarist confessing he doesnt feel worthy of it.

Fans were gutted when the 52-year-old broke the news in a string of Facebook posts.

Im sorry to say this but Im going to pull out of DJing the Keith Flint appreciation hour, he wrote.

People are seeing it as an act of self promotion and I never wanted that. Also its getting so big with the press and I dont feel worthy of it.

The star later added: Glastonbury: Thank you for all the encouragement and the love. Its amazing to see that amount of support. My reason for standing down isnt anything to do with internet trolls though.

Its due to the reason that its messing with the heads of some people that are closest to Keith and its causing upset and I never intended for that to happen.

The last thing I want to do is cause upset and create bad karma, especially with people that are the most important people involved, that are grieving and will be for a long time.

I will do something for the benefit of mental health but it wont be seen as capitalising on a tragic situation. It will be something else.

Prodigy fans, you know what where Im coming from with this statement. Im sorry that I cant do this.

You know Id like to but I want to respect other peoples emotions and wishes and for this reason I must stand down.

Gizz, a former live guitarist for the Firestarter hitmakers, was set to perform an hour-long DJ set in the Shangri-La area, which was named the Keith Flint Appreciation Hour.

Keith tragically died back in March at the age of 49, with it later being confirmed that he died by hanging.
