At least 41 dead as passenger plane erupts into fireball after emergency landing
At least 41 people have died after a passenger plane erupted into a fireball during an emergency landing in Moscow.
The Aeroflot aircraft burst into flames at Sheremetyevo airport after hitting the runway this evening.
It was later stated that 13 people, including two children, had been killed.
However investigators confirmed this evening that 41 had died in the blaze.
Speaking in a statement, the Russian Investigative Committee said: There were 78 people on board, including [five] crew members.
According to updated information, 37 out of them survived.

Video on Russian news channel Rossiya-24 showed the plane, a Sukhoi SSJ-100 regional jet, landing with large flames engulfing the rear section.
Passengers are seen fleeing from the aircraft using emergency slides.
