Turns out Zac Efron is also keen for a The Greatest Showman sequel.

Bring on This Is Me part two…

Zac starred in the hit musical with Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams and it quickly become a cult success before the songs gained traction in the charts and essentially took over the world in 2017.

Zac starred as Phillip Carlyle, a playwright who becomes the business partner of Jackmans P.T Barnum, an ambitious showman and entrepreneur but speaking on The Graham Norton Show, he hinted that he hopes there will be a sequel hitting screens soon.

Hugh is working on all sorts of things including a one man show. Whats next? I dont know but I hope there is a sequel, he said.

High School Musical alum Zac has hung up his teen idol crown and most recently taken on the gritty role of serial killer Ted Bundy, who was believed to have killed more than 30 women in the 70s.

But speaking to Metro.co.uk he admitted it was a mission to go home and leave the killer on set.

When asked at the European Premiere of the Joe Berlinger film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile how he was able to limit the mental toll, he said: That was put to the test for this one.

Ive never played a role in which I have to separate myself. It was almost impossible. I would like to say I did that successfully, but I couldnt.

Told from the perspective of Bundys long term girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer (played under the name of Liz Kendall by Lily Collins), the film explores the mind of the killer, rather than displaying the murderous acts themselves, however it was accused of glorifying Bundy.

At the time of his trial, the killer – who was executed in 1989 – was portrayed as a charming psychopath able to gain the trust of those around him and bend it to his own whim.

Both the director and Zac have defended the film in the face of critics, insisting it does anything but paint Bundy in a more palatable image.
