Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) has been pulling the wool over everyones eyes in Hollyoaks as a result of her Munchausen Syndrome, but shes about to take her lies to a whole new level.
At the beginning of the year, Maxine feared that Damon (Jacob Roberts) would leave her and, in an attempt to keep her lover, she pretended that she couldnt feel her legs. Seeing how devoted Damon became towards her following this incident, the young woman has subsequently continued to lie about her illness, and has even claimed to be suffering from all sorts of awful symptoms.
While viewers know full well what Maxine is up to, Damon is oblivious to the whole thing, and has done all he can to help her during her time of need. Maxine has been pretty convincing thus far, and she ups her game on the day of Lilys funeral.

With Martine Deveraux (Kéllé Bryan) preparing the food all by herself, Maxine suggests that her and Grace Black (Tamara Wall) could help out. Martine agrees, and the the three women work together. However, during the food preparation, Maxine begins to drop hints that her own funeral could be next.
Later, Damon decides to take some time off work when he learns that Maxine fears her last days will be spent alone — but he doesnt tell Brody (Adam Woodward) of his decision.
