Here are the Parkes candidates for the federal election

There are six candidates standing for the Parkes electorate in the upcoming federal election. As well as incumbent Mark Coulton from the Nationals, there is David Paull from Dundee standing for the Greens, Petrus Van Der Steen from Glen Innes standing for United Australian Party, Dubbo's Daniel Jones standing for the Liberal Democrats, Jack Ayoub from Coonabarrabran for Labor and Indpendent William Landers from Coonamble. The ballot draw was undertaken on Wednesday to determine the order the names will appear when voting. The candidates will appear on the ballot paper in the following order: Daniel Jones, Mark Coulton, David Paull, Jack Ayoub, Will Landers and Petrus Van Der Steen. ALSO MAKING NEWS: The Parkes electorate covers more than 393,000 square-kilometres. It has been held by Mr Coulton since 2007 and before that Nationals' John Cobb. The election will be held on May 18. On election day there will be 88 fixed voting booths in the Parkes electorate, 11 of them in Dubbo including eight in the city and one each at Eumungerie, Ballimore and Wongarbon. Early voting, previously known as pre-polling, starts on Monday. Locations to early vote have yet to be made available from the Australian Electoral Commission. A record 16,424,248 Australians are enrolled to vote in the 2019 federal election. In the week leading up to the close of the electoral roll almost 100,000 enrolled to vote. It makes the country's national enrolment rate 96.8 per cent, which is the highest in Australia's history.
