BTS are the biggest boyband in the world right now, but they will always acknowledge the acts that paved the way for their global domination.

At their global press conference in Seoul, the Boy With Luv singers thanked all of the senior artists who created an opening to their path.

RM, Jin, Jungkook, Suga, V, J-Hope and Jimin were asked about forging their own path in music, and Jin replied: The reason we have been able to forge this path is not because we were suddenly put into this place. We were able to do it because of the senior artists before us who [created an] opening to this path.

It would be a lie to say that we dont feel pressure. I am feeling a lot of pressure even right now. We are working to let go of the pressure by working hard on our music and performances. Because our fans support us, we are able to work hard while feeling less pressure.

He added: Results and records are important, but I think there is no better result than people achieving happiness due to our music. This album was made to enjoy together with fans. If fans can enjoy and be happy together with us, I think there is no better goal.

Suga then said: Thinking far ahead, there is a lot we want to do. However, we have to successfully complete what lies ahead in the near future. I hope we can successfully finish our stadium tour.

Before the stadium tour is the Billboard Music Awards, for which we have been nominated in two categories. I do want to say that I wish for us to win both awards, but realistically I am not sure if that will be possible, so I hope we can win one award.

We dont think a double win is too pie in the sky…

While the boys acknowledged their senior artists, they also gave advice to junior K-pop artists – after TXT shared how helpful their sunbaes had been as they debuted.

Jungkook admitted: I honestly did not practise a lot when I was a trainee. I sometimes think, “Why did I [not practise] back then? I should have [practised] more.” If Im being honest, I did not realise how important practising is before I debuted. I hope that trainees these days know that and use their time wisely. Then, I believe they can achieve greater success.

And V added: I want to tell them to not be discouraged by sudden failures or injuries they might get while practising and putting in their effort. Thats a step that will help them to climb up the stairs. It will eventually turn into a memory and makes them go to higher places.
