Man hospitalised after alcohol-fueled incident
A man was airlifted to Orange hospital following and altercation in Nyngan on Saturday morning. Nyngan Police said they are aware of an alleged altercation between two males in the early hours of Saturday morning. It was reported one of the males was treated by paramedics, however was airlifted to Orange Hospital. Police have been speaking to witnesses and are currently reviewing CCTV footage in order to investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident. Nyngan Police Sergeant Tony Wood said alcohol related violence is taken very seriously by police in the community. "Police work hard to try and prevent alcohol related violence," he said. "We ask members of the community to contact police if they suspect an incident developing. "We would much rather prevent a situation than deal with the aftermath." Police are urging anyone who has any information or witnessed the incident to contact Nyngan Police on 6831 1399. Information is treated in strict confidence.
