Horrifying video footage shows the moment a mob beat up a terrified transgender woman in an apparent unprovoked attack.
The clip, shot in Dallas Friday, shows Muhlaysia Booker being punched to the ground by a man dressed in white, who then continues to slap her.
A crowd – including on person who filmed the clip – watches the violence unfold, with at least two other men then joining in and kicking Booker.
She told police she was set-on after being involved in a minor traffic incident, and that her attackers used homophobic slurs throughout.

After Booker is kicked, punched and pulled across an apartment complex parking lot, she is finally left alone, and pulled up from the ground by three women.

The vicious assault left Booker suffering from facial fractures and an injured right arm, WFAA reported.
Dallas Police say they are reviewing all available evidence to determine whether the attack on Booker consistutes a hate crime.
Edward Thomas, 29, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, with the charge likely to be tried as a hate crime.
