Margaret River BMXers end season with party | Photos

Margaret River BMX Club marked the end of season last Friday night with an awards night celebration at the club. According to club secretary Rachuel Knapinski, riders along with friends and family enjoyed an early Easter party. "We all celebrated with Pizza being served in the canteen, the Easter bunny made an early visit, faces were painted, kids danced, and bikes were decorated," she said. "Parents even raced bikes, with a few tremendous crashes and a lot of laughs, and we also had the awards presentation for our much loved BMX kids." The 2019 season saw some tight competition between some of the club's year groups, and the first all-girl race was also held at the track. "Every single member received their participation trophy on the night with a few extra kids getting first and second place awards," said Ms Knapinski. "The kids had a great season racing and as always in this club they had loads of fun just getting out and about with friends and family on a Friday night. "We are all looking forward to another relaxed atmosphere BMX season starting again in October." "A massive thankyou to local businesses who have helped us out this season and for the awards, including Luke Hibbert at All Electrics, Steve at Backyard Creative, Cowara Contractors, Welcome Site toilets, Southern Crust Pizza, Amy the Fairy, Dominos Margaret River and also our wonderful committee and parent helpers."
