We knew Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) was evil but hes reached a whole other level of nastiness in EastEnders. Human trafficking?! Low blow, even for Heather-murdering, sister-abusing Ben.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) has no idea the problem hes got on his hands here. He might be glad his prodigal son has returned, but hell soon rue the day Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) picked up the phone and brought their son back into their lives.

Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was the one to discover Bens truly evil side, having signed up to do a job for Phil without actually asking what it was all about.

Or rather he took Phil at his word when he was told hed be just doing a dry run for a crime to be committed further down the line. As he started to smell a rat, Keanu looked inside the lorry and discovered the empty vehicle was actually full of people being sent off to a terrible life abroad as part of a human trafficking ring.

Thankfully Keanus conscience immediately went into overdrive and he kicked off, telling the guy there was no way he or Phil would be involved in something so dark.

But then Ben arrived on scene and told Keanu to shut the heck up and get on with it. Keanu still refused, which caused them problems with the guy they were doing business with, and Ben attempted to smooth things over, saying hed just find someone else to do the job while putting Keanu firmly in his place.

Ben then took Keanu to one side and warned him where refusals like that would get him. But Keanu was left shocked when Ben refused to see the victims of the trafficking as people.

Theyre people, they matter, Keanu said, to which Ben replied: Not really. We do it, were on to the next job.

Ben then told Keanu that if he didnt do as his told, all of his loved ones would get hurt.
