Emma Bunton has revealed that the Spice Girls decided to change the lyrics to their classic ballad, 2 Become 1, last minute to be more inclusive of the LGBT community.

Spice Girls, also consisting of Geri Horner, Mel B and Mel C, released the hit single in 1996 and it became an instant hit, soaring to number one on the UK charts.

However, the songs famous lyrics may have been very different to the ones fans know and love now.

According to Emma, 43, the original line was: Any deal that we endeavour, boys and girls feel good together.

But it was changed to the current lyrics, which are: Once again if we endeavour, love will bring us back together.

Speaking to the Gay Times, Emma said: We changed the lyrics in a hotel.

We were travelling and we were like, “Absolutely, it needs to be changed”. We felt like it needed to be more inclusive.
