Majak Daw expecting first child with his partner Emily McKay

North Melbourne AFL player Majak Daw is expecting his first child, just months after he was hospitalised due to injuries sustained in a serious incident on the Bolte Bridge.

Daw revealed the news on Wednesday evening with an Instagram post stating "Baby Daw coming soon," alongside his long-term partner Emily McKay.

It comes in the same week that Daw completed his first running session since the Bolte Bridge incident in December, which saw the 28-year-old operated on for serious injuries to his hips and pelvis.

In January, Daw posted a letter on the Kangaroos' website thanking fans and members for their support.

"Im making huge strides with my recovery, both physically and mentally. I have been blessed with a second chance at life," the letter said.

"My attitude and outlook towards everything has improved."
