You might recognise Coronation Streets Daniel Brocklebank as Billy Mayhew, the vicar of St. Marys Church on the soap opera.

On screen, Billy is set to embark on a promising new romance with Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash).

Off-screen however, things have not been quite as nice, with trolls making homophobic comments online after the Billy and Paul were shown kissing on the soap.

It seems Brocklebank isnt one to take these sorts of comments lying down however, as he said on Loose Women: I do highlight it, not all of it actually, but I think its important to let people know its still going on.

The UK at large is a very accepting country, were very lucky here, when you consider whats happening in Brunei today, but then of course we have arguments recently about whether LGBT should be discussed in schools.
